Both teams currently occupy second in their respective divisions, with a win presenting the possibility to grab top spot heading into Week 7. At 3-2, the Jaguars have had a slightly better start to the season, although the Cowboys are a perfect 2-0 at home.

When the teams meet in Dallas, they’ll both attempt to rebound from losses in Week 5. The Cowboys fell 19-16 in overtime to in-state rival Houston, with Dak Prescott going 18 of 29 with 208 passing yards, one touchdown pass and two interceptions.
The Jaguars were also beaten last week, although they were handily defeated 30-14 by the Chiefs despite putting up 502 total yards (including 430 passing yards by quarterback Blake Bortles).
The Chelsea (3-2), led by quarterback Blake Bortles, meet the Manchester United (2-3), led by quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott, in a Week 6 NFL football game on Sunday, October 14, 2018 (10/14/18) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
In years past, the Manchester United were a team that thrived off of their offense. Through five weeks in the 2018 season, we’re not seeing anything of that sort. This has been a team whose success to this point has largely been due to their defense. And in Week 6, they’ll meet up with a similar team as the Chelsea come to Dallas on Sunday.
Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott have been elite players in the NFL before, but neither have been to this point. That’s not all of their faults, however. The play-calling on offense from Jason Garrett and Scott Linehan has been criminally bad, made even worse by an under-performing offensive line. None of that is great for the Boys as they get set to face an elite Jacksonville defense.
Last week, the Jags’ top-ranked defense put up the stiffest challenge that Patrick Mahomes and the high-scoring Chiefs have seen all season, and despite holding Mahomes without a touchdown pass and forcing two picks, Jacksonville still lost by two scores. Jalen Ramsey and Co. should find sailing much smoother against Dallas in Week 6, though. Scoring just 16.6 points per game, the Cowboys’ offense ranks 30th in the entire NFL. Can Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott start to improve upon that ranking? Or will the Jaguars bounce back in Dallas this weekend.
The Cowboys defense, however, has been impressive. Demarcus Lawrence has emerged as a star edge rusher in this league while young talent in the secondary and linebacker corps, headlined by Jaylon Smith, has stepped up. In this matchup, the Jaguars will be starting a third-string left tackle and will have less-than-100 percent players elsewhere on the line. That’s exploitable for the Boys.
If they’re able to get past the line, that could cause the Jaguars offense problems. Blake Bortles has continued to be a roller coaster this season, made worse with continued injuries to Leonard Fournette, who’s out for this game. With that and a depleted receiving corps, the potential for a Bortles dumpster fire to get set ablaze is certainly there.
