Cleveland (10-41) ended a six-game losing streak with a 104-101 win at the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. It was just the Cavaliers’ second win in their past 20 games.
The Cavaliers squandered an eight-point fourth-quarter lead and found themselves trailing 98-96. Instead of folding on the road, Cleveland finished the game on an 8-3 surge over the final 3:52 for the win.

The Washington Wizards have been in decent form lately as they’ve won five of their last eight games but they will be looking to bounce back after falling to the Spurs in a 132-119 road loss on Sunday. Bradley Beal and Tomas Satoransky each scored 21 points, Trevor Ariza added 20 points while Jeff Green and Thomas Bryant each scored 15 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 44 percent from the field and 18 of 46 from the 3-point line as they poured in 43 points in the second quarter to trail by one point going into halftime, but they couldn’t keep it going in the third quarter where the Spurs outscored them by 29-17 to reclaim control of the game. With the loss, Washington fell to 21-28 overall and 6-19 on the road.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in a serious slump as they’ve lost 18 of their last 20 games, but they will be breathing a little sigh of relief after snapping a six-game skid with a 104-101 road win at Chicago on Sunday. Alec Burks and Jordan Clarkson each scored 18 points, Cedi Osman added 17 points on six of 17 shooting while Matthew Dellavedova chipped in with 16 points and five assists off the bench. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 42 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line as they escaped with the narrow win after trailing in the final minute of the fourth quarter. With the much-needed win, Cleveland improved to 10-41 overall and 5-22 on the road.
Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record, 18-37 ATS in their last 55 road games and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Cavaliers fought hard for their narrow win over the Bulls on Sunday but there’s denying how inept they’ve been lately, so I’m not surprised the Wizards are road favorites in this one. The Wizards are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Cleveland and I think that trend continues as the Wizards’ starting five should be too good in this one.
