The Unreal Engine is a powerful game development engine but has a beautiful simple and smart interface. However, sometimes the simplified interface can be a little intimidating for beginners.
This workshop will help you get over the first hurdle and help you familiarize yourself with using the Unreal Engine.

Objective
- Get a basic introduction of the Unreal Engine Interface to be able to navigate its features.
- Familiarize themselves with importing game assets from the marketplace
- Learn how to create a level from scratch
- Understand the basics of lightening a level and how light works
- Understanding the basic of level navigation, and item placement.
- Create a simple Blueprint
- Organize their game development process
- Use the BSP brushes and the terrain and foliage tools
- Given an optional workshop
Outcomes
- Launch and navigate the Unreal Engine Interface
- Understand where to find the tools of the unreal engine that enable them to follow a more efficient workflow
- Easily import assets into the Unreal Engine from the Asset store and original assets
- Be able to organize the project file to easily find and arrange workshop items.
- Create and populate a level with blocking techniques and asset placement.
- Create blueprints to add functionality.
- Work with the basic terrain and foliage tools.

- The workshop will be held at Dana Hall (127), Building 36, Bahrain Polytechnic, Isa Town.
- The workshop will run from the 24th to the 25th of July, 2019.
- The workshop runs for 3 hours per day over 2 days.
- Attendance will be marked.
- Seats will be limited.

Project 60
Project 60 aims to register 60 games being developed this year, to qualify to be part of the project you games need to:
- Be out of the protype phase.
- Be at an early polish to a polished stage.
- Have to at least of 5 minutes of gameplay if it is a demo.
- or Near to published stage where the game is in beta.
